💡 About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join a specialist neurorehabilitation hospital supporting adults with acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, and complex neurological conditions.
You’ll play a vital role in assessment, therapy, and rehabilitation, with a particular focus on complex dysphagia.
Experience with tracheostomy care would be an advantage but isn’t essential — support and development will be provided.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
✅ Assess and manage patients with complex swallowing difficulties
✅ Deliver individualised therapy plans using evidence-based approaches
✅ Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (SLT, OT, Physio, Dietitians, Nursing)
✅ Provide support for tracheostomy communication and swallowing, where appropriate
✅ Maintain accurate documentation and report on progress
✅ Contribute to reflective practice and team development
👩 ⚕️ About You
Essential:
- HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist 🎓
- Confident managing complex dysphagia cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills 🤝
Desirable:
- Experience or interest in tracheostomy management
- Previous work in neurological or complex care settings
